Qualification Pathway

How teams qualify

1

Home League Fall Season

Teams compete in the applicable Home League Fall division.

2

Top Placement

Top teams in the Home league top division become eligible for review.

3

League Review

Placement, readiness, demand, structure, and annual review are considered.

4

League Invitation

Final participation is confirmed through invitation for Spring play.

Important: Placement alone does not automatically guarantee entry. Final participation is determined through league review, confirmation, and invitation.

Club Qualification Criteria

Participation in the Inter League Alliance is earned. Clubs and teams are selected based on a combination of competitive performance, organizational standards, and a demonstrated commitment to player development.

The following criteria must be met for a club to be considered for Inter League Alliance competition.

Selection Standards

Active Membership & Good Standing

Clubs must be active members in good standing with their respective local league. This includes full compliance with all league rules, standards, and administrative requirements. Clubs with outstanding violations, unresolved disciplinary matters, or administrative deficiencies will not be considered for participation.

Top Competitive Performance

Teams must finish at or near the top of their division within their local league to be considered for Inter League Alliance participation. The Alliance is a competitive platform designed for the top level of youth club soccer, and placement standards reflect that commitment to quality.

Proven Competitive Track Record

Clubs must demonstrate consistent competitive performances across previous seasons, showing the ability to compete at a high level within their local league and sanctioned competitions. A single strong season is not sufficient — sustained excellence over time is what qualifies a program.

Commitment to Player Development

Participating clubs must show a clear and genuine focus on long-term player development. This means prioritizing technical, tactical, and personal growth of players rather than solely focusing on match results. Clubs should be able to demonstrate through their coaching standards, training programs, and player pathways that development is at the core of their program.

Reputation & Standards Across Competitions

Teams must maintain high standards of professionalism, sportsmanship, and performance across all state and league competitions. Clubs should be recognized within their local league as programs with an established reputation for excellence, integrity, and player development. How a club conducts itself across all competitions — not just within the Alliance — is taken into account.
